What to bring?
Select a minimum of equipment and wear comfortable walking shoes. Any camera that you feel comfortable with is a good camera. We do however recommend that you use a prime lens. 28mm, 35mm or 50mm (on full format equivalent). We believe that staying with 1 choice of focal length improves the framing of your images and it gives a consistent look to your work/essay. Please also bring Hard Drive/Thumb drive with your best 20-30 images and a notebook. Bring a laptop with image editing software such as Lightroom (30 day trial is available) or similar. If you like to shoot B+W we recommend that you install the free Silver Efex Pro plugin which you can download here: https://www.google.com/nikcollection/products/silver-efex-pro/
Can I reserve a spot with a deposit?
Yes, you can reserve a spot with a 50% non-refundable deposit. The balance of the workshop is due 90 days before the beginning of the workshop, since there will be a waiting list of international photographers, who need time to plan travel arrangements in case of a cancellation.

Where to stay?
On request we can send you suggestions for accommodation nearby the workshop location.
Can I ask someone to join me to the workshop?
Yes, your partner can come and they are welcome to join us for meals and walks. Plans are however not coordinated around meeting up with partners and the workshop is intensive to get the most out of our time together.
Is there anything I should study before the workshop?
It would be helpful for students to know the works of photographers that we reference frequently. Upon booking we will send you a reading list of photographers. It’s optional of course, but you can Google one or two per day and get to know them and their work.
